is looking for
full-time new graduate Registered Nurse Residents
for its winter residency cohort that will begin in January of 2025. This will be for residency placement in the Austin area. The program will last eight weeks and will include both didactic and clinical components.? Our locations are typically open Monday-Friday 8:30a-5p and are closed weekends and major holidays. The first 2 weeks of the program will take place in Dallas (with all expenses paid) while the remainder of the program will be completed in Austin. Upon successful completion, residents may have the option of remaining in the Austin area or transferring to one of our other geographical regions if desired.

Facilitates and schedules consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.Triages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient's chart.Inter professional collaboration.Acts as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.Participates in professional development activities and maintains current knowledge of oncology nursing by participating in ongoing educational opportunities.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the?
position
?will have the following background and experience:?Completed graduation from an accredited program for professional nursing education within three years prior to January 2025; BSN preferred.Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac and Life Support) certification required.RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state is required by end of residency program in order to be hired on into a permanent position.Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer is preferred.Working Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
