Job Description Summary:The COMSEC Analyst leads accurate accountability, handling, storage, packaging, shipment, and administration of all cryptographic materials, troubleshooting, software upgrades, ensuring maximum COMSEC safeguards are in place, and configuration management using industry specific databases.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities•Handles the receipt, custody, issuing, safeguarding, accounting, and destruction of COMSEC material, maintain records and submit all required accounting reports in accordance with established policy and NSA regulations.•Conducts audits and inspections of all COMSEC and CCI materials•Collaborates with Information Technology and Information Security representatives to procure, install and troubleshoot secure network connections•Develops and maintain a Cryptographic Key Management Support Plan as part of the COMSEC Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).•Couriers classified information and author receipts for classified materials.•Train personnel in COMSEC procedures and the use hand receipt holders in security and accounting functions•Conduct Semi•Annual Inventory for all COMSEC Material and Equipment.•Conduct maintenance, installation, and software upgrades for all secure COMSEC Equipment.•Maintain records of all issued COMSEC material issued to include hand receipts.•Perform annual Rekey functions for COMSEC equipment held locally.•Maintain COMSEC Account files and prepare and submit accounting reports as required.•Performs other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities•Ability to respond to security incidents or infractions at any time.•Knowledge of NSA COMSEC management policies and all applicable CNSSI•Knowledge of COMSEC account software, either DIAS or KMI•Knowledge of processing classified cryptographic communications material and devices to include Vipers, STE, TACLANEs, etc.•Knowledge of implementing a COMSEC program under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)•Strong interpersonal skills and service oriented•Ability to work under pressure, be a self•starter and work well with all levels of management and staff.

EducationBachelor degree in related discipline

Experience3•5 years experience in COMSEC or related with experience as a primary or alternate COMSEC custodian or COMSEC account manager / Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) account manager.

Additional Job Description:
