Infrastructure Services strives to optimize performance increasing storage, elevating the network, and reducing downtime.Position SummaryThe Assistant Chief Information Officer (ACIO), Infrastructure Services is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of UCLA's IT infrastructure. The ACIO will lead a team of IT infrastructure professionals and collaborate with a broad range of IT customers, partners, and key stakeholders across UCLA to ensure a secure, efficient, and reliable technology infrastructure that supports UCLA's operations and strategic initiatives. The ACIO, Infrastructure Services will lead the unification of UCLA's network by overseeing network architecture, engineering, field services, maintenance, and operations. This role will execute UCLA's vision while promoting UCLA's culture and values.Salary & CompensationUCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. (Required)Eight or more years of experience leading teams in a management or leadership role, particularly in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. (Required)Twelve or more years of experience working in one or more of the following fields: information technology, infrastructure services, higher education, network operations/engineering, cloud, or related field. (Preferred)Demonstrated experience with the design, planning, and implementation of new, large-scale network infrastructure. (Required)Significant experience with data center, email or network consolidation, or other enterprise-wide technical consolidations. (Required)Expertise in infrastructure design and development, technical architecture, and core enterprise applications. (Required)Significant experience in the management of ongoing technology infrastructure acquisition and expansion, to include the identification and integration of suitable emerging technologies. (Required)Proven success leading a team with demonstrated leadership values and coaching skills. (Required)Significant experience providing inclusive leadership of others, establishing and advancing an inclusive working environment, and establishing policies and procedures that advance equity, diversity, and inclusion. (Required)Experience in complex higher education environments, serving academic and administrative functions of a large public university. (Preferred)Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop high-performing, multi-functional teams. (Required)Ability to understand the process involved to adapt, integrate, and modify existing programs or vendor-supplied products for use within a large and complex technical environment. (Required)Knowledge of technical platforms, technical infrastructure models, and enterprise infrastructure strategies. (Required)Highly skilled in written and verbal communications and is able to communicate on behalf of large teams and relay highly complex technical information. (Required)Advanced degree in one or more of the following fields: information technology, computer science, network engineering, cloud, public administration, business administration. (Preferred)IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL V3) certification or similar process-related certificate. (Preferred)Special Conditions for EmploymentThis position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that includes regular visits to campus as needed (for those who work remotely, travel/lodging expenses are not eligible for reimbursement).The anticipated pay range for this position is $239,966-$280,500, annually; salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.NOTE: This position REQUIRES that a RESUME and COVER LETTER be submitted in addition to the application.
