We are dedicated to providing incredible customer experience to our federal and private-sector customers and committed to providing an incredible employee support and development program tailored to our social mission.As a Director of Contracts, you'll lead the Skookum Contracts team responsible for all contractual matters, including all aspects of the acquisition life cycle: pre-award, contract award, post-award, and contract close-out. This team supports and collaborates with Skookum Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), who retain P&L responsibility as well as ultimate authority, by pricing, negotiating, and administering all Skookum contracts, primarily federal service contracts.The Director of Contracting reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and exercises independent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality with minimal supervision required. This leadership position requires the leader to work alongside the team.Key Responsibilities:Deliver Skookum's Value Proposition to our internal and external customers.Create a customer-oriented culture for the Contracts team, ensuring that the team remains easy to do business with.Lead a team of professionals to create pricing workbooks for bidding or negotiating a wide range of service contracts and select manufacturing contracts.Handle pricing responsibilities including creation of labor estimates, material estimation, selection of capital equipment, subcontractor spend, and insurance.Administer contracts, including the change process, negotiation of follow-on year and base year agreements, and proper processing of certificates of labor.Support Project Accountants with the invoicing process and creation of operating budgets.
