Horizon Industries Limited (Horizon) is a dynamic IT and Management Consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area, and we are currently seeking a Software Systems Engineer - Associate for a full-time position to work remotely.Summary of requirements:Three (3+) years of experience in multiple programming languages (Front End React, full-stack developer MUST BE well versed in writing node.js and Java (J2EE) developed in an AWS cloud environment (EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFront), REACT, JavaScript in an AWS environment (SOAP UI, Asynchronous, Tomcat).Technical training and/or certification desired.Bachelor's in IT related field.Remote.Position Description:We are looking for a Software Systems /Designer - Associate that will:Analyze and design software systems products, and deliverables in accordance with specific customer requirements.Provide software on AWS, database management, programming, and other general engineering expertise to support defined tasks on Information Technology projects.Document in Jira and other technical documentation as required.Develop in an agile lifecycle using Jira or similar task management tool.Required Skills / Experience:Minimum three (3) years of experience in the use of multiple programming languages to include Front End React, full-stack developer versed in writing Java (J2EE) and JavaScript in a cloud environment (AWS preferred), Linux (command line).Experience in design and implementation of systems.Technical training and/or certification desired.Experience also shall include capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages such as JAVA.Has experience in at least one project in a large organization maintaining and/or developing software to requirements in an agile lifecycle.Clearance: IT II (Requires a NACLC/Tier background investigation or a SECRET security clearance).Salary Range:
The pay range for this position is: 125,000 - 140,000.Education:
Bachelor's degree in IT-specific field. May substitute 2 years of experience if bachelor's degree is in an unrelated field.Location:
Remote.Task Order Overview:The services to be performed under this PWS shall include existing and new development using advanced technology that continues to promote the growth of the ICON portal capabilities. The accomplishment of these objectives requires skill and knowledge across the full spectrum of project management, standard web-based sustainment, development, and testing.The Contract SOW is to:Analyze, design, code, test, and integrate requirements into the ICON portal and tools.Provide expertise for general and specific activities related to the development and maintenance, data administration management, process improvement, information assurance/cybersecurity support, testing, documentation, and IT support for the infrastructure of the ICON portal.Coordinate and implement application changes for break/fix and to enhance/change current functionality in line with the Requirements and Deliverables.Support all task areas as outlined below for the ICON portal or tools and integration of data from extracts or APIs.Provide and maintain an adequate staffing model for timely management of all requirements, reports, and monthly updates in support of the ICON project.Provide ICON portal support and monitor daily operations and availability providing alerts/notices to the NFFS Program Office (PMO) of all inoperability of ICON or "downtime," as release Sprints are moved to Production.All work shall be compliant with Public Law, Federal Statutes, the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) DLA Directives.Program Overview:The JETS Program provides the full range of IT services, technical and management expertise that support applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the DLA IT Enterprise.Company Overview:Founded in 1996, Horizon Industries Limited (Horizon) has evolved into a company of highly qualified professionals that provides full cycle IT Consultant and Management support in both the private and public sectors.Horizon is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, and it is our policy to consider all applicants for employment.
