Staff & Senior Mobile Engineers
to join our growing team! You’ll play a key role in our technology decisions and implementation, and you’ll see firsthand the impact that we’re making on healthcare. You’ll build and support functionality in primarily React Native but also native code for both our iOS and Android apps. During this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute improvements to open-source libraries.What You’ll Do
Scale up our business by designing, building, and supporting easy-to-use mobile applicationsMake and implement technology decisions that support business needs without compromising security, privacy, or qualityEnhance existing systems to add new functionality, and to improve performance, stability, quality, and securityAdvocate for high standards; make quality-of-life improvements to the codebase; and help limit the growth of technical debtBuild deep user empathy and maintain a user-centric mindsetCommunicate regularly and effectively within and on behalf of our cross-functional product delivery teams. You’ll work with other disciplines including design, product, machine learning, and infrastructure, and will have opportunities to learn from and contribute to projects across the companyMentor and learn from other engineersWhat You’ll Bring
5+ years’ experience building, shipping, and supporting mobile applications for the enterprise market. You’ve seen what works, and probably a few things that didn’t workHave independently worked and delivered a small app or entire feature in a larger appExcitement about working in our mobile tech stack, which includes both React Native and Android/iOS NativeAbility to act with autonomy & self-direction while working well in a team environmentWillingness to pitch in wherever needed - as a fast-moving startup we need to do good work, quicklyAre comfortable with working across domains and languages with a curiosity to experiment & learn new thingsBonus points if you have experience with any of the following on mobile: audio playback, audio recording, file encryption, or online vs. offline modeMust be willing to work from our SF or NYC office 2-3x/weekWe are actively seeking candidates based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area and/or the New York Tri-State area. This position requires a commitment to a hybrid work model, with the expectation of coming into the office 2-3 times per week.Must be willing to travel up to 10%Abridge typically hosts a 3 day builder team retreat every 3-6 months. These retreats often feature internal hackathons, collaborative project sessions, and social events that provide the team with opportunities to connect.Base Salary
$180K - $250K+ USD per year + EquityBased on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range listed reflects the pay scale estimated for candidates residing in the San Francisco and New York City metro areas. Actual base salary will be dependent on location, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and/or other job-related factors.
