Job Summary:

As a Principal Solution Architect at SMCI, you will play a leading role in designing and implementing sophisticated, scalable, and innovative hardware and software solutions for our clients. Your extensive knowledge of hardware, combined with a deep understanding of SMCI's product offerings, will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions that meet our clients' complex requirements. This principal position demands exceptional problem-solving skills, technical leadership, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):Solution Design and Architecture :• Lead the analysis and understanding of business needs to design comprehensive hardware and software solutions• Develop architectural blueprints and detailed documentation for proposed solutions, with a strong emphasis on hardware integration and performance• Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, best practices, and SMCI’s product specifications

Technical Leadership:• Drive technical discussions and provide leadership to development teams throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on hardware and system architecture• Offer technical expertise and mentorship to team members, particularly in areas involving hardware• Keep abreast of the latest hardware technology trends and integrate them into solutions where appropriate

Project Management:• Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, especially those related to hardware compatibility and performance• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards

Stakeholder Engagement:• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates on project status• Communicate complex technical concepts, including detailed hardware specifications, to non-technical stakeholders in an accessible manner• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to ensure successful project outcomes

Continuous Improvement:• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices• Contribute to the development of architectural standards and guidelines, particularly those related to hardware• Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvementQualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field• 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, with substantial focus on hardware design and integration• Deep understanding of various hardware technologies, including servers, storage, networking equipment, and embedded systems• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex hardware and software solutions for large-scale enterprises• Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Skills:• Extensive experience with SMCI’s product line, including servers and storage solutions• Advanced knowledge of hardware-related performance tuning and optimization• Certification in hardware-related fields such as CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, or similar• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practicesSalary Range

$162,000 - $186,000The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.EEO Statement
