The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked #14 in the United States, the No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the No. 2 hospital in Texas for Cardiology and Heart Surgery by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking an outstanding full time Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiologist. The candidate will carry out regular attending duties within the Division of Cardiology and the section of Advanced Heart Failure/VAD/Transplant, as well as participate in teaching and training of fellows, house staff, and medical students. Expertise and interest in neuromuscular cardiomyopathy would be preferable. Candidate will be superior in all aspects of Cardiology and Advanced heart failure/Transplant cardiology. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Applicants should meet these qualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent.Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology fellowship programs.Board Certified in Cardiology and subspecialty boarded in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology.An unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas.Cardiology Division, Facilities & Equipment:Nationally recognized Cardiology Division with more than 100 faculty members that fosters a collegial and collaborative environment with a focus on faculty career development. You will be joining a section of advanced heart failure that currently includes 11 faculty members.Sites of Practice Include:• William P.
