Join Gilead and help create possible, together.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated Medical Affairs Associate Director who is passionate about HIV prevention and Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). Candidate must be a self-starter with a proven track record of success in prior roles. They will play a critical and exciting role in helping the US Medical Affairs organization support current HIV prevention therapies and potentially launch future HIV prevention pipeline products, with a focus on injectable PrEP. The Associate Director will report to the US HIV Prevention Strategy Lead and will work directly with the US and Global teams.The Medical Affairs Associate Director, HIV Prevention, will report directly to the Senior Director for US HIV Prevention. The successful candidate will contribute to Gilead’s HIV prevention strategy in the US and work cross-functionally to ensure execution of the USMA HIV Prevention POA.Essential Duties and Job Functions:Monitor and understand the rapidly changing HIV prevention landscape, including the role of varied PrEP delivery methodsAssist with potential PrEP launch planning and executionSupport the US strategy team and medical field directors to ensure the POA and launch plan is executed as envisionedSupport the systematic reporting of insights, both internal and externalAs product expert, serves as a key contributor and knowledge expert for HIV prevention and PrEP for multiple internal and external stakeholdersWork with the global HIV prevention and treatment teams to review, update, and provide insight into Medical Affairs slide decks and local and global HIV Prevention response documentsAssist in the development of US-focused medical training documents and digital assets as needed to support field medical teamsWork collaboratively with field medical teams, Medical Information, Clinical Research, and Clinical Pharmacology and Commercial to support responses to medical inquiries and slide developmentSupport both US and Global advisory programs, as neededSupport the implementation of medical affairs strategies and tactics for HCPs, specifically medical educational activitiesAttend medical conferences to assess/gather relevant information and insights and support activities related to conference deck development and trainingsPartner cross-functionally with Legal, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Public and Government Affairs, to support cross-functional projects as neededEnsure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policiesBasic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience OR Masters Degree and 8 years’ experience OR PhD and 2 years’ experienceMD, DO, NP, PA, PharmD, or other advanced health degree preferred3 years of relevant work experience in the delivery of clinical services for HIV treatment and/or prevention requiredExcellent verbal, written, visual communication, and interpersonal skills are required, with experience in vendor contracting and preparing budgets, Excel spreadsheets, and delivering PowerPoint presentationsExperience in the provision of medical information, slide development, medical writing, and project and conference management requiredProven strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to utilize moderately complex scientific resources across a variety of different settingsAbility to work collaboratively and experience working on cross-functional teamsAbility to travel as required which may include occasional weekend travelAbility to flex and adapt as necessary in response to ongoing growth and change within the organizationPreferred Qualifications:

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package.
