Help us deploy and scale the next generation of cloud security utilizing big data and analytics. We are looking for a Principal Engineer to join the team that is building our latest cloud security product - Data Loss Prevention (DLP). Our DLP service is the industry's first cloud-delivered Enterprise DLP that consistently protects sensitive data across all networks, clouds, and users. This fast-growing cloud service prevents data breaches by identifying sensitive data consistently throughout the entire enterprise. It also guarantees that your data security strategy adheres to compliance and data privacy regulations. This role will also give you an unrivaled opportunity to build microservices to process terabytes of data efficiently with different cloud providers.Your ImpactExecute on the software development strategy to improve our dynamic highly distributed system.Understand and implement software development/engineering lifecycle concepts to drive features from conception to delivery.Collaborate closely with the product management, architects, and devops to achieve quality releases.Work hand-in-hand with customer support, documentation, and downstream teams to enable customer success.Make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-release while maintaining performance and scalability requirements.Be able to clearly communicate goals and desired outcomes to internal project teams. Interview, mentor, and coach new team members.Your ExperienceBS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering with 10+ years or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience required.Be a self-starter, able to learn independently and adapt quickly.Advanced-level of experience as hands-on Core Java Software Engineer in a distributed/cloud-based product.Solid experience with Spring framework, Rest API, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, and Docker Cloud Experience (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).Strong experience and knowledge with microservices, distributed systems, and performance optimization.Experience with Agile development process and embrace Agile methodologies.Strong believer in automation testing and strive for higher code coverage.Can-do attitude on problem-solving, quality, and ability to execute.The TeamTo stay ahead of the curve, it’s critical to know where the curve is, and how to anticipate the changes we may be facing. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $170,000 - $275,000/YR.
