You'll work in our Boston, Miramar or Stamford office and will be a part of the Responsible Technology Sourcing team within McKinsey & Company's Optimize function whose vision is to enable colleagues and the firm to live our purpose confidently by creating leading solutions and experiences across our supplier ecosystem. Technology Sourcing plays a critical role in making responsible buying easy by ensuring we expertly source products and services across the firm. You will collaborate with a vast array of tech-focused internal clients, and departments and optimize collaborators across our global footprint as you and your team design and deliver exceptional sourcing experiences. You'll be joining us at an exciting time as we are currently shaping our 'Make responsible buying easy' transformation evolving our Responsible Sourcing practice and embarking on a brand-new rebuild/reimagining of our technology products and services-focused sourcing team. This role is crucial to ensure that this rebuild is successfully realized and to the long-term performance of the Responsible Sourcing team.What You'll Do

You will build, lead, coach, and develop a team of technology sourcing experts to drive high-impact strategic sourcing events (RFx events and direct negotiations) of varying spend, risk levels, and complexity, across all our firm's key technology categories (e.g., software, cloud, hardware, wireless and fixed telecom, professional services, etc.). Innovative Sourcing Strategies will be designed by your team as they drive to deliver the best technology products, services, or solutions at the best value, while also protecting our firm from risk. You'll also leverage your deep expertise across technology software categories to co-create and execute with category managers and business unit stakeholders self-led sourcing events with innovative sourcing strategies for complex and high-value technology purchases. You'll have the opportunity to thought partner and co-create innovative sourcing solutions with internal clients, optimize collaborators (examples: category leaders, purchasing, purchasing operations, legal procurement, suppliers, etc.) delivering exceptional sourcing strategies and sourcing experiences. You'll also build strong relationships and partner with our regional sourcing managers, so our colleagues receive a consistent sourcing experience across the firm. You'll contribute to the global responsible sourcing vision, strategies, and priorities including driving forward the sourcing workstream within our 'Make responsible buying easy' transformation. This will include driving the development and delivery of a holistic and seamless source-to-pay process that supports our ESG goals, and risk principles. You'll have the opportunity to drive the development and implementation of world-class sourcing processes, principles, and KPIs for each category, identify and deploy technologies that can digitize and automate these sourcing processes, and develop a clear and sustainable governance model for the sourcing practice.Qualifications

University degree and excellent academic record required; advanced degree preferred10+ years in a professional business environment with at least 7 years of relevant technology sourcing experience requiredExcellent people leadership skills - you are an outstanding people leader who attracts and develops a group of highly talented colleaguesDeep Strategic Sourcing knowledge across multiple standard indirect/Tech categories (examples: Software, Cloud, Hardware, Wireless and Fixed Telecom, Technology Professional Services, etc.) that delivers excellent Sourcing StrategiesDeep expertise in Sourcing Steps and Processes (examples: Conducting Spend Analysis, Clean Sheet, Total Cost of Ownership and Cost Breakdown Analysis, Sourcing Strategy Development, Product/Services Requirements and features Mapping, RFP Excellence, Business Case development, and outstanding ability to Negotiate); knowledge of technology solutions that digitize and automate Sourcing Processes is highly valuedProcurement transformation experience is highly valuedExcellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly articulate creative, practical solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functions at all organizational levelsExcellent ability to apply experience and knowledge to transformational improvements, influence others with knowledge and skills, and demonstrate outstanding change management, project management, and communication skillsExperience influencing senior leadership in a consensus-based culture, able to drive change, meet deadlines, and inspire confidence among senior leadershipExcellent prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and ambiguous situations effectivelyMastery of Excel and PowerPointApply Now
