Position at Leopardo ConstructionLeopardo Construction's tenant interiors team is growing in the Chicago office. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to grow with us! This is a great opportunity for a client-centered, experienced project manager to run top-notch projects with an ENR national top 400 GC and top 100 green builder.As a Senior Project Manager, you will take charge of overall administration, execution, and completion of complex and/or large-sized projects. This can include project development and overseeing the organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. As a Senior PM you will also monitor productivity and profitability, manage communication between teams, resolve conflicts, and cultivate client & A/E relationships.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support preconstruction efforts:Assist in preparation of budgets and estimatesProvide value design suggestions and work with the project team to implement revisionsSolicit, qualify, review, and evaluate bids from qualified subcontractors to ensure required scopes are includedPrepare and incorporate general conditions work into overall budgetCoordinate permit applications for review/approval and submittalCoordinate with leader to establish and monitor project goals and prepare project projectionsNegotiate, award, and write all subcontracts in collaboration with leaderComplete bid/post-bid subcontractor risk mitigation managementDevelop and maintain a detailed schedule including:Key preconstruction activities impacting project teamsIdentified critical pathOwner move-in, inspections, and punch listPrepare comprehensive cost estimatesReview job costs, billings, and pencil draws for pay applications with the Principal-in-Charge/Market Leader as requiredReview and approve invoices for any goods purchased directly by Leopardo for general conditions work.Manage shop drawing/submittal schedule as well as requests for information (RFI's) and change order processesCoordinate and conduct required meetingsEnsure required inspections are performed and enforce quality control procedures and safety inspectionsReview closeout documentation, job costs, billings, and pencil drawsAdditional Responsibilities
Build and nurture relationships with clients/owners, architects, developers, and subcontractorsActively promote Leopardo and network within the industryAssist in recruiting and training efforts as requiredAdvise project teams which may include Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Assistant, Project Accountant, Project Engineer and/or InternsEducation / Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in construction, engineering or architecture related fields; or, equivalent training and related experience10+ years in progressively responsible role with extensive estimating experience and an understanding of the business side of construction. Field experience is a plusMust possess a deep understanding of each phase of the construction process, including architectural design and blueprinting, and a knowledge of the market/industryProven record of success on large and/or complex projects (applicable to individual or multiple projects)Significant training and experience with cutting-edge technology, processes, and procedures that produce accurate, efficient results; Viewpoint is a plusSupervisory Requirements:
The Senior Project Manager may have direct reports including Project Managers, Project Engineers, and/or interns.Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have a valid driver's license. OSHA 30 Hour certification and LEED GA accreditation preferred.Benefits
