Uses professional financial services concepts. Applies organization policies and procedures to resolve a variety of moderately complicated issues. Works on financial services problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.Disbursement Section Responsibilities

Processes all forms of request for payment (e.g. supplier invoices, department payment & check requests, employee reimbursement, student loans, travel advances, and other formal requests for goods and services), issues electronic file payments (e.g. ACH, EFT, etc.), issues and distributes paper checks, wire transfers, & bank drafts, cancels/stops payments, resolves all payment related problems, and reports on payments to departments, suppliers, and the State and Federal governments.Support internal and external customers' disbursement and accounts payable inquiries.Assist with furnishing data pertinent to all internal and external payment compliance audits.Interact effectively and professionally with campus, faculty, suppliers, and staff to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.Run various reports and metrics reporting to monitor SLA compliance and trends to improve processes and/or educate suppliers/departments.Salary Information

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $64,700 - $101,200 (Annual Rate).Department Description

Supply Chain Management (SCM) manages the processes that allow UCSF to source, procure, contract, move, pay for and store goods and services. By enabling academic, medical, and research excellence we directly impact UCSF's mission and "advance health worldwide". SCM's business lines provide essential support to all facets of the UCSF enterprise including research, campus, clinics and health services. SCM is a collaborative leader influencing and impacting supply chain operations at all UC campus and health locations.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.1 year PeopleSoft or SAP Financial suite or comparable experience.1-year previous experience with Accounts Payable, pay cycle process, Wires, ACH, recalls & reversals, & handling of checks or comparable banking experience with wires, ACH, recalls & reversals, and handling of checks.1 year experience in an organization of comparable size and complexity.Working knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures.Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems.Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software.Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making.Ability to function effectively as a member of a team.Ability to adapt to changing priorities.Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.Preferred Qualifications
