The ideal candidate will bring experience in multiple technologies and methodologies. Relevant experience for this role may include any or all the following: database and database architecture design, database administration, and data governance.We are looking for a flexible data engineer who has led the implementation of database/data warehouse solutions for the federal government and is comfortable with solutions using open source and multiple vendor technologies. We prefer candidates who are confident in their ability to tackle new technologies and stretch their competencies to areas of development that they may not have encountered before.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needsDesign how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systemsWork with data users to determine, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures and systemsPlan, design, and optimize data throughput and query performanceParticipate in the selection of backend database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, HPC, etc.), their configuration and utilization, and the optimization of the full data pipeline infrastructure to support the actual content, volume, ETL, and periodicity of data to support the intended kinds of queries and analysis to match expected responsivenessMinimum Requirements:Years of experience: 5+ years of Data EngineeringBachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics).Experience designing, implementing, and managing SQL and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, Redis, Postgres, and MongoDB, and HPC systems working with large-scale data setsDesigning, implementing, and managing ETL processesManaging data warehousing solutionsExposing and deploying machine learning models to production systemsEnsuring data quality and consistency across various sourcesExperience working in the Intelligence Community and/or DoD developing data models for the military.Excellent verbal and written communications skills (using the MS Office Suite of productivity tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) along with the ability to present technical data and approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences.Clearance Requirements:Must have active TS/SCI clearance, and willing/able to get CI PolygraphUS CitizenHow to Apply:To apply to IT Concept Positions- Please click on the: “Apply for this Job” button at the bottom of this Job Description or the button at the top: “Application.” Please upload your resume and complete all the application steps.
