Job SummaryThe

Strategic Account Manager (SAM)

will be primarily responsible for retaining existing revenue and generation of sales uplift revenue in the existing customer base. The SAM must meet the experience and/or the education/training requirements of their specific Job Description. The SAM will have a quota based on producing new revenue from assigned accounts and/or geographic territory assignments. Additional sales representatives, short term targeted sales efforts or blitzes, or additional personnel maybe assigned to territories as determined by management or the needs of the company.The SAM will leverage the SAS (Strategic Account Specialist) to assist with daily customer account management responsibility with an assigned base of accounts to monitor for customer satisfaction and to assist Customer Service when necessary to resolve customer issues to help maintain existing revenue base. The additional support from the SAS will allow the SAM to have a more strategic focus on driving products and revenue within their base.

Duties & Responsibilities70%Pursue additional business with existing large and mid-market (full potential value above ~$10k MRC) enterprise customers to provide services within regional market territory. Use SFDC or other CRM front-end to manage sales opportunities and provide appropriate reporting and forecasting of activityDevelop proposals using the full suite of Segra products to win additional business with existing Segra customers in the account base (i.e. uplift)Responsible for new revenue quota as well as reducing churn/increasing retention

20%Maintain large and mid-market enterprise customer relationships with existing assigned Segra customers for services in market territory in order to reduce churn and maintain existing revenue baseInvestigate and resolve any problems, and position additional products within the accountPrepares and delivers effective sales presentations to existing customersRe-terms all assigned existing accounts, as applicable, to assure a satisfactory level of retentionResponsible for maintaining an existing customer account base

5%Maintains and updates, as required, customer and company contacts, presentations, proposals and general sales records regarding ongoing sales activitySubmit accurate customer contracts using the Wizard system or other CRM to Sales Engineering or Customer Care organization for the provisioning of products.Coordinate with customer and Sales Engineering resources to insure expected due dates for product delivery are communicated and appropriate customer personnel remain updated.

5%Provides on-going support to assure customer satisfaction

QualificationsEducation:

Degree in sales / marketing or related field, equivalent work experience, or a combination thereof

Experience:

Previous Enterprise level, ILEC-CLEC sales experience and/or managed services experience preferred

At least 5-7+ years of telecommunications sales or technology sales experience specifically including sales of products such as core connectivity, extended connectivity, storage and cloud services, and/or security solutions

Significant experience with serving and selling to major enterprise accounts (i.e. sales >~$10k MRC)

Key Competencies:Strong Communication skills; Time management skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferredAbility to design strategic plans to position Segra products and services to align with customers changing needs.Conduct quarterly account review meetings to ensure Segra is secure as the provider of choice.Problem solving skills to change products and services as needed.Leverage relationships with existing base to act as referrals to prospective major companies.
