SMERF Sales Manager

The Brewhouse Inn & Suites in Milwaukee is looking for a full time SMERF Sales Manager who is committed to providing first class service as part of a collaborative team. As the SMERF Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving group and event sales for The Brewhouse Inn and Suites. You will actively prospect, negotiate, and secure group business to meet and exceed revenue goals. This role requires exceptional sales and communication skills, a strong network within the hospitality industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

As the SMERF Sales Manager on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve group and event revenue goals.

Identify and target key market segments.

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients and establish a network of industry contacts.

Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify sales opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

Actively prospect for new group business through various channels, including, but not limited to cold-calling, networking, and attending industry events.

Respond to inquiries and requests for proposals (RFPs) in a timely manner, providing customized proposals and presentations to potential clients.

Negotiate and finalize contacts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.

Collaborate with the operation team to ensure seamless executive of events, including pre-event planning, on-site coordination, and post-event follow-up.

Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Conduct regular client visits, sales presentations, and site inspections to showcase the property's capabilities and amenities.

Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing and resolving client concerns or issues.

Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, revenue management, and operations, to develop sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and pricing strategies.

Work closely with the events team to ensure a smooth handover and coordination of bookings.

Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to the management team.

Attend all Sales and Company meetings.

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand professional knowledge and network.

This position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:

Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience.

Sale experience in a hotel of similar level preferred.

May work weekends, some nights, and holidays.

Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and economic factors.

Positive, team focused, guest service centered leadership attitude.
