A Brief OverviewThe Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a PA as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws:

Qualifications
Education QualificationsMaster's Degree from an accredited PA educational program Required
Experience Qualifications1+ years as a PA Preferred
Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)Must have computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)
Licenses and CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) Required andAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) PreferredHave passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination Required andMaintain state license by the Ohio Board of Medicine Required andPractice with a supervising physician Upon Hire Required andMaintain national PA Certification RequiredRequired andPreferred
