Primary Responsibilities:
HDR's Senior Oracle EBS Applications DBA will: patch, upgrade, maintain, clone and troubleshoot Oracle EBS 12.2, the EBS DB and EBS MT components; configure, maintain and troubleshoot all EBS 12.2 DBA areas, such as concurrent processing, OPP, SSO, forms servers, https servers, certificates, Workflow mailers, profile options, EBS DB parameters, ECC, EBS mobile applications, EBS Security and EBS Weblogic Servers (OA Cores); configure, patch, install, maintain and troubleshoot WebLogic Server; configure, patch, install, upgrade maintain and troubleshoot Oracle Core Database; configure, patch, install, upgrade maintain and troubleshoot Oracle RAC/Grid/ASM; configure, patch, install, maintain and troubleshoot EBS related 3rd Party software such as Kofax Markview, EIS Express, More4Apps, Vertex, OneSource, Quest Stat, ConfigSnapShot and Project Partners UI App; provide proactive performance monitoring and capacity planning; SQL tuning with tools such as SQL Tuning Advisor, SQL T and SQL Optimizer; perform Apps DBA tasks within a OCI tenancy; configure, patch, install, maintain and troubleshoot Oracle core databases and Oracle RAC version 12c and 19c; monitor instances and perform tasks with OEM 13c; analyze root cause of tech stack related issues and provide solutions; administer and maintain security policies and procedures; work extensively in Linux and shell scripting for Apps DBA tasks; work with Oracle backup (RMAN) and recovery options; work with developers, technical support staff and vendors to create and maintain the highest reliability, integrity, security, and performance within the database environment; implement new third party products as and when required and support such as more for apps, Excel for apps and Pronto; provide EBS application and database support (administration) including storage management, recovery, and performance issue resolution, and manage other technologies including web servers, middleware products such as SOA, and single sign on technologies; and review and tune initialization parameters, memory structures, and physical data layout for optimal Performance for Oracle Databases. Additional collaborative responsibilities will include: responding to and resolving applications reliability and performance issues; working extensively with the functional support teams on production support, new projects, and Oracle support tickets; working independently with various support teams as the primary Apps DBA; working extensively with the EBS Development team on various customizations; working with other technical teams, such as network, server, SSO and OS; working extensively with the Oracle hosting provider on production release activities and other maintenance activities; assuming role as Primary Apps DBA on-call required on a 5-week rotation; Oracle Hyperion and Oracle BI tasks in alignment with Hyperion and BI tech leads, as needed; utilizing knowledge on ASM, RMAN, OEM,RAC,EXADATA,GOLDEN GATE and DATA GUARD; database administration and schema design for Oracle on Linux, Windows and Exadata machines; cloning, upgrading, and maintaining concurrent manager processes, ADOP Patching, space management issues and User management issues related to Oracle Applications, registration of forms and reports, which were developed as part of customization process with Oracle Applications; preparing estimation of work, ensuring the quality, and releasing the deliverables to CTE, Development, TEST and Production environments; working on various DB related alerts and tickets including space issues, alert log errors, backup failures, MW jobs, trace files, listener log and other DB job logs, managing extracts and replicates, refreshes, upgrades, deployments, backups and point in time restores; and preparing AWR, ADDM, ASH reports for analyzing the DB performance and resource utilization.
Required Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field (foreign equivalent accepted). 5 years' experience in Oracle database administration. Required experience must be postgraduate, progressive experience and include experience in: Oracle RDBMS; EBS R12.2 architecture, application tiers, database, WebLogic, concurrent processing, Fusion Middleware, forms and patching; DBA Applications system administration and troubleshooting; SQL tuning; upgrades, platform migrations, tuning, and management of complex 24O7 environments; cloning system test and development environments from Production Oracle Applications environment; operating in a Linux environment and writing shell scripts; and mobile applications for EBS.
