Accomplish operational and/or functional objectives that enable the successful execution of engineering department goals; track, monitor and report on KPIs and action plans. Research and analyze engineering product design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs and applications. Drive engineering product tasks such as developing market requirements, building a business case for new innovations, defining monetization models, pricing proposals, field enablement and contributing to marketing initiatives. Evaluate existing and emerging competition in the engineering field; help create business cases for both internal developments, partnerships and acquisitions; develop a clear value proposition for customers. Coordinate with senior product manager and development teams and develop various products according to requirements and perform research on various issues to provide expert knowledge on products. Provide feedback to engineers on customer problems or needs. Coordinate with all support organizations/departments at Product Team level: Operations, Sales, Quality, R&D, etc. Monitor all inquiries and issues for products and ensures timely resolution for same, develop and execute annual marketing plan and ensures achievement of all objectives. Develop competency for technical training of internal and external customers. Participate in engineering trade show technical-side representation. Position is fixed location based in Raleigh, NC office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed up to three (3) days per week. Domestic and international travel 15% of the time for tradeshows and customer presales and training.Job Requirements : Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Product Management Specialist or a related field. Experience must include:Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):SQL and Power BIProject Management Experience surrounding new product introductions.Manufacturing processes and Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC)Quality Management principles (ISO 9001)Six Sigma and execution of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)Product Life Cycle Management40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.To apply : Send resume to: christian.hall@itron.com.
