Ryder is hiring a CDL A Local Flatbed Driver in Portland, OR. A local truck driving job typically consists of transporting freight within a 200-mile radius, allowing the driver to complete their deliveries and return home the same day. Compensation:

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,800-$2,200+ per week
  • Hourly Rate: $28.00
    • 60-65 hours per week

Home Time, Route & Schedule:

• Home Daily
• Start times 6am
• Monday-Saturday (Saturday is partial day)
• Route: Local Portland
• Touch freight – Building supplies
  • May use Moffett Forklift, Ryder will train you on all equipment

Equipment:

• Trucks are 36 months or newer
• Day cab
• Flatbed 36’
• 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A License
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Must live within 30 miles of Portland, OR
