Our office team is made up of both full-time staff members and valuable student employees who all help to support the department vision in important ways. Right now, we are seeking applicants for the student employee position of Student Support Staff.Basic responsibilities (will vary based on student employee's location in ARC office) •Provide guidance to students, faculty members, and visitors to UNM basicinformation on academic accommodations for students •Assist students who are wanting to register with ARC to receiveaccommodations •Greet students for appointments or exams that are administered at our office •Answer phones and direct calls •Administer, proctor, and/or schedule exams to be taken at the ARC TestingCenter •Use various computer programs or tools to convert textbooks or class resourcesinto accessible formats to be utilized with e-reading programs or converted tobrailleMinimum QualificationsEquivalencies not found for this positionPreferred QualificationsRequired qualifications •Understands and honors the importance of the confidentiality of student recordsand information •Committed to learning about and promoting accessibility, diversity, and inclusion inthe UNM community •Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to follow ARC procedures to ensure UNMpolicies are followed •Open to learning new skills through training guided by ARC staff members •Work on various office projects as the need arises Preferred qualifications •Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook,Word, and Excel in particular) •Able to prioritize, multitask, and/or work under deadlines and/or time constraintsif needed •Comfortable socializing, providing high quality customer service, interacting withstudents and other visitorsApplication InstructionsOnly applications submitted throughthe official UNMJobs site will be accepted.If you are viewing this jobadvertisement on a 3rd party site, pleasevisit UNMJobs to submit an application.Please submit a cover letter and resume.The University of New Mexico is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
