Business Development Manager

Salary:

$90,000 base, but flexible and open to structuring the compensation package to align with the right candidate. We anticipate that commission could ultimately represent 70-100% of the base salary.

SummaryWe're seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to develop new business channels and expand our customer base and revenue within the energy & fuels sector. As a BDM, you will:

Identify new business opportunities through effective prospecting and lead generationContact potential clients, arrange meetings, and deliver presentations to research organizations and viable representativesExplore new and traditional markets for business opportunitiesWork closely with management to align on strategy and provide regular reportsCoordinate and attend meetings, conferences, and industry events

Key Responsibilities

Develop new customer relationships and generate leadsResearch and identify new business opportunities, including markets, growth areas, and partnershipsMap out yearly growth plans, set milestones, and strategies for client acquisition and revenue targetsCollaborate with the marketing department on promotional strategies and activitiesBuild and grow a network of contacts to attract new clientsCreate and present dynamic pitches and proposalsUtilize CRM to track contacts, opportunities, and proposalsExecute sales strategies and plans for new customersCommunicate customer requirements to product line managersHost monthly internal reviews to ensure goals are metPrepare and share written customer-specific plans, including organization and buying processes, product/service requirements, sales goals, and competitive analysisOversee growth projects, make sales projections, and forecast revenue

Qualifications

Proven track record of selling complex software, hardware, and services solutions to industrial customers within the fuel and energy sectorsFrequent travel required; must have a current passportFluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plusBachelor's degree is preferred
