The Marketing and Events Coordinator plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's CORE mission and financial sustainability of SOAR’s programs through their expertise in grant writing, event planning, social media oversight, fundraising (digital & traditional), and more. This multifaceted position aims to secure funding, engage donors, and create memorable events that support SOAR’s goals, internally and externally.In this exciting position, you will lead the charge from planning to execution, working closely with partners, crafting engaging agendas, and leveraging social media to amplify our reach. In addition, you will be the onsite hero, ensuring each event is a seamless experience.Duties and Responsibilities:Conceptualize, plan, and execute various client events that align with SOAR’s objectives.Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, client sign up and staff working the event.Develop event budgets and ensure financial targets are met.Support event promotion with mentors and communication strategies to maximize attendance and participation.Manage online fundraising campaigns, including crowdfunding, peer-to-peer fundraising, and social media initiatives.Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, utilizing email marketing, social media platforms, and phone calls.Analyze fundraising data to optimize strategies and improve results.Collaborate with the SOAR leadership team to ensure a consistent and compelling online presence.Execute a results-driven social media strategy.Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms.Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.Attend events and produce live social media content.Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.Collaborate with the marketing team to create a social media calendar.Monitor social media channels for industry trends.Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.Assist in the development and management of SOAR social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy.Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors and supporters.Create donor recognition and stewardship programs to acknowledge contributions and demonstrate impact.Develop strategies for acquiring new donors through both online and offline channels.Prepare monthly newsletter for SOAR team and Board of Directors.Prepare regular reports on grant applications, event outcomes, and fundraising campaigns.Analyze fundraising data and trends to make data-driven decisions for strategy adjustments.Provide insights and recommendations to the organization's leadership based on the performance of development initiatives.Work with the CEO to identify grant opportunities and support the development of comprehensive grant proposals.Collaborate with teams to gather data and information required for grant applications.Other Functions:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. psychology, social work, criminal justice, human services, etc.) strongly preferred.Experience in mental health field and/or substance misuse preferred.Experience in adventure education or therapy field, strongly preferred.Experience working with youth and/or families, preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Desire and dedication to high quality client care.Task-oriented, self-starter.Ability to work flexible hours.Access to a personal vehicle in good operating condition for work use.Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of adequate motor vehicle insurance.Meet safe driving requirements: no suspensions/less than three (3) tickets in the past three (3) years.Proficiency with computer programs, such as Google Drive.CPR/First Aid certification preferred, but not initially required.Positive Skills:Ability to work well with adolescents from diverse cultural and ethnic populations with histories of trauma, sexual and/or violent offenses, gang affiliation, and runaways.Ability to engage and motivate clients.Ability to serve as a positive role model for SOAR clients.Ability to be patient.Good interpersonal skills.Bi-Lingual is a plus!Working Conditions:Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening (approximately 3 evenings per week) and weekend (average 2 weekend days per month) work, working with challenging clients, and driving around the Denver Metro area as needed for client caseload. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage their own schedule and complete all job responsibilities within a timely manner.
