Job Title: Senior Economic Research AnalystLocation:

Washington, D.C.Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Economic Research Analyst to lead a comprehensive study on the differences between tolerance for business risks and national security risks within critical infrastructure sectors. This role is pivotal in quantifying how organizations across the private sector evaluate business losses from cyber incidents, developing a framework to evaluate national security losses, and identifying opportunities for incentives to bridge the funding gap between mitigating business and national security risks.Key Responsibilities:Conduct in-depth economic research and analysis on business and national security risks within critical infrastructure sectors.Develop econometric models to quantify business losses from cyber incidents across various private sector organizations.Develop a robust framework to evaluate national security losses.Identify and propose incentives for cybersecurity practices to offset funding gaps between business risk mitigation and national security risk mitigation.Analyze existing economic and national security risk measurement methods.Develop and apply a framework to evaluate mitigations for identified gaps.Conduct a case study applying the developed framework to a specific critical infrastructure sector.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights.Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.Qualifications:Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in economic research and analysis, preferably within the context of national security or critical infrastructure.Strong understanding of cybersecurity risks and their economic impacts.Proven experience in developing and applying analytical frameworks.Excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills.Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly to diverse audiences.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with federal government agencies or contractors.Knowledge of national security policies and frameworks (NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CISA Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity, etc.).Familiarity with critical infrastructure sectors and their unique risk profiles.About Softtek Government SolutionsSofttek Government Solutions is a professional services firm focused on addressing our nation's most complex threats and challenges.
