Bishop McNamara High School looks to develop and mentor student-athletes for a successful future both on and off the field and foster lifelong relationships.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow and uphold the policies and mission statement of Bishop McNamara High School.Plan, organize, develop, promote, and direct the Bishop McNamara High School’s Golf (Coed) program, including but not limited to monitoring team grades, uniforms, and equipment.Manage the Operating Budget accounts and adhere to the financial policies of Bishop McNamara with regards to purchase orders, collection and disbursement of money, expenses and receipts.Instruct and demonstrate skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team development.Ensure that all coaches in the Bishop McNamara Golf (Coed) program are certified and cleared.Ensure that team rules and regulations regarding conduct and eligibility of the athletes are clearly communicated and followed.Plan, organize, advertise, and conduct tryouts for the Golf (Coed) program; inform the Athletic Department and participants of final selections. Maintain the integrity of the selection process.Arrange and schedule bus transportation with the Athletic Department. Ability to drive a 14-passenger school van / vehicle to travel to away games. Will travel with student athletes on the team bus both to and from competitions.Submit athletic rosters to the Athletic Department one week before the first match, and any changes to student information on the roster, inventories, final season statistics and alphabetical list of award winners immediately following the season (list includes number of awards and the class of the athlete).Consult with the Athletics Director regarding any in-season or off-season training programs including scheduling dates for summer camps/practices, uniform fitting, pre-post tryouts, informational parent meetings, as well as organize and schedule practice sessions and games.Create a safe environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.Work directly with school athletic trainer(s) in reporting injuries, teaching precautions and procedures to ensure staff/student safety and help students prevent injuries.Represent BMHS and the Golf (Coed) program in a professional manner by modeling good sportsmanship behavior and maintaining appropriate conduct towards the opposing team, fans, parents, officials, spectators and community.Maintain strong interpersonal skills: works well with others from diverse backgrounds.Focus on solving conflicts, maintaining confidentiality, listening to others, keeping emotions under control, remaining open to others’ ideas and contributing to building a positive team spirit.Attend staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.Commitment to development of the whole student, including well-being and character, in alignment with the Holy Cross tradition of education.Other related duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Varsity Team Assistant CoachesQUALIFICATIONS:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Ability to organize and supervise a High School Golf (Coed) program.Previous High School Golf coaching experience required.Knowledge of technical aspects of the assigned sport and willingness to continue to learn and examine new ideas pertinent to the assigned sport.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.At least three to five years of related experience required.Ability to organize and supervise a High School Golf (Coed) Varsity program.Knowledge of technical aspects of the assigned sport.Willingness to continue to learn and examine new ideas pertinent to the assigned sport.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Verify identity and employment authorization.Complete a pre-employment background check.Be CPR/AED/1st aid certified (can be completed after hire but prior to season beginning on August 10).PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to enter data into a computer; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors, and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone; physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds; to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead. Physical ability to set up and move any other related golf equipment.WORK ENVIRONMENT:
