Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!We are looking for talented Engineers to join our growing Lunar Permanence team and build a strong Specialty Engineering division dedicated to safely and successfully delivering the Lunar objectives at Blue Origin.Responsibilities:Provide broad support for aerospace grade avionics and electronics.Own radiation control plan, requirements, implementation, and verification; provide design engineering support for radiation control for all vehicle systems, particularly avionics and electrical systems.Collect and integrate all radiation mitigation efforts across the vehicle, including design, analysis, testing, and ultimately requirement verification.Responsible for radiation compliance release of engineering drawings for parts and assemblies.Lead and coordinate internal and external radiation efforts, including development of specifications, qualification, First Article Inspection, testing, and customer-facing updates.Work with cross-functional teams within the Lunar organization and other business units.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of a M.S. degree in Aerospace, Material Science, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Chemical Engineering or related field.8+ years of demonstrated Engineering experience on a production space program.In-depth knowledge of NASA radiation requirements and associated standards.Strong familiarity with NASA-STD-8739.10 and SMC-S-010, and upholding the radiation control requirements within for space vehicles.Strong familiarity with radiation testing methods ESCC-22900, JESD57A, MIL-STD-750 and MIL-STD-883.Demonstrated experience developing and executing test plans for analysis and qualification of avionics and electrical components for radiation requirements.Knowledge of industry standards for material data analysis.Experience organizing and managing materials-related data in a company accessible database.Ability to travel to support development and testing opportunities at other Blue Origin and vendor sites.Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:Ph.D. in Aerospace, Material Science, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Chemical Engineering or related field.Compensation Range:CA applicants: $146,644.50 - $205,302.30; CO applicants: $134,838.38 - $188,773.73; WA applicants: $146,644.50 - $205,302.30.Other site ranges may differ.Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.Inclusivity Statement:Don't meet all desired requirements?
