Events and Sales Representative

The Events and Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue, achieving occupancy goals, and managing events and driving advertising income primarily related to Conferences with our neighbor, Moscone Conference Center.

The person in this position will work closely with local and regional entrepreneurs, advertising and marketing agencies, and vendors to secure new business and manage existing relationships, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Revenue Generation / Business DevelopmentAchieve revenue budget by implementing strategic measures.Proactively identify and engage new and unique prospects for each facet of the Specialty Leasing program including but not limited to City View events, advertising, vacant in-line and common area spaces with a goal of generating 10 new leads per week.Ensure that event clients, advertising, specialty leasing retailers and amenities meet shopping center's visual merchandising requirements and standards of professionalism.Consistently review, update and enhance vendor list, City View policies and procedures to ensure optimal performance.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and property management to drive seamless operations and maximize success.Foster strong relationships with all vendors to ensure a seamless and mutually beneficial collaboration.Prepare all license agreement documents and amendments in JLL's Yardi Retail Manager system. Coordinate the execution of agreements with the General Manager and the Licensee.Collaborate with Specialty Leasing National Account Team to optimize revenue opportunity.

MarketingCollaborate closely with the marketing department to facilitate consistent and effective promotion of the specialty leasing program through diverse internal and external marketing channels.Directly responsible for managing and enhancing City View's social media, website and master calendar of events.Create compelling marketing materials when required, reflecting the unique qualities of Metreon's specialty leasing program.Representative of City View, attending and engaging key stakeholders at industry events while cultivating and nurturing relationships with the local community.

AccountingGenerate and maintain accurate specialty leasing budgets and forecasts.Oversee staffing and expenses of contractors, including but not limited to venue management, housekeeping, security, engineers, and loading dock staff.Timely reconcile billing, credit card processing, monthly accruals, and invoices/security deposits.Ensure timely billing and collection of post-event charges.Process all license agreements and adhere to accounting and Data Management procedures.Collect monthly sales reports from Licensees and generate a sales report, ensuring all percentage rent and percentage in lieu is billed appropriately and timely.Ensure timely rent collection from all Licensees adhering to A/R Policies & Procedures.

OperationsMonitor to ensure clients comply with City View venue rules and regulations, SFFD rules and regulations, San Francisco Entertainment Commission's permitting and entertainment regulations, abide by the City's sound ordinances, health department codes, and San Francisco's Environment Department's requirements.Perform site visits for each event, including but not limited to the initial walk to determine client needs, pre-event walk to ensure compliance and provide client support, and post-event walk to assess performance and determine applicable chargebacks.Coordinate in-house services such as building operations, heating, lighting, coat-check, WIFI, and furnishings.Ensure each Licensee provides a Certificate of Insurance that meets the requirements.Coordinate Licensee's set-up, relocation, and event breakdown.Ensure adherence to JLL Core Practices.Support the property team in maintaining high client and tenant satisfaction ratings.

What We're Looking ForA bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of proven experience in similar roles.Candidates with industry and business contacts are highly preferred.A California Real Estate License must be obtained within 120 days of employment.Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and evenings.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Skills and KnowledgeExperience in budget management and forecasting.Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate, both in verbal and written communication, to effectively engage with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.Strong deal-making, prospecting, networking, and leasing experiences.Key ability to effectively negotiate and close deals.Candidates with knowledge of event and retail trends nationally and locally are highly preferred.Self-motivated and results-driven, with a high level of energy and the ability to work efficiently.Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing time and prioritizing tasks.
