The University of Washington (UW), Department of Dermatology is seeking applicants for a full-time (100% FTE) faculty appointment to the
Assistant Professor rank, on the clinician-scholar pathway (without tenure due to funding) . The UW Department of Dermatology includes 35 paid faculty members across 6 different clinical sites (Roosevelt, Harborview, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, South Lake Union, Eastside Specialty Center, VA Puget Sound) and over 30 staff members. The mission of UW Dermatology is to advance dermatology with integrity, compassion, and innovation.This position will be based at one or more University of Washington Dermatology clinical sites: Roosevelt, HMC, FHCC, South Lake Union, or Eastside Specialty Center.Assistant professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Position is available effective April 1, 2025; the specific start date is negotiable.The successful applicant will have clinical responsibilities including the outpatient dermatology clinic and/or inpatient attending service, engage in collaborative research projects, and participate in teaching and mentoring students, residents, and fellows. Positive factors for consideration include candidates who have an established record of clinical care, teaching, and research in the area of Dermatology.Salary : The base salary range for this position will be: $16,583 - $18,416 per month ($199,000- $221,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.Qualifications
The successful candidate must have an MD (or foreign equivalent), medical licensure in the state of Washington and Board Eligibility or Certification in Dermatology (or foreign equivalent) by the start date of employment.In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all 3 steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.Application Instructions
