Trusted.The Undersea Technology Analysis Group (UTAG), within the Sea, Land, & Air Division in SPA, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoD organizations to make decisions, plans, and strategies to deliver emerging undersea technologies and warfighting capabilities. We support clients across the undersea and naval special warfare enterprises, including those within resourcing and requirements (OPNAV N97), acquisition (program offices for undersea technologies and naval special warfare), and science and technology (Office of Naval Research, DARPA). Our enduring capabilities include:Identifying capability gaps, developing requirements, and generating solutionsAssessing the operational utility and technical feasibility of new technologiesExecution of acquisition and technology development programs, including developing plans and roadmaps to mature, deliver, and sustain new technologiesAnalysis of vulnerabilities and threats to undersea platforms and systemsQuantitative analysis and modeling of undersea forces and their missionsSPA has an immediate need for a skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to support the Naval Sea Systems Command's Chief Technology Office, NAVSEA 05T.Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a background in financial analysis within the DoD, preferably the Navy. They will conduct thorough financial analysis and reporting to track program expenditures and forecast future financial requirements, and track budgets, costs, and variances. The role will include examining budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives, and providing financial support to program leadership for decision-making.Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range: $75,000-$85,000.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related fieldAt least 2 years of experience in financial analysis within the DoD, preferably NavyExperience with DoD financial management systems and processes such as WAWF, N-ERP, PBIS etc.Strong understanding of government contracting and compliance requirementsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPossess Secret government security clearance, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
