The Department's academic practice has a well-established history of excellence, and Stony Brook University Hospital is strongly committed to the hospitalist model. Hospitalist responsibilities include inpatient obstetrics & gynecology coverage, participation in quality initiatives, and education of medical students and residents. The Director position will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust hospitalist program with a focus on developing practice guidelines, leading qualitative initiatives, and recruiting and developing our existing hospitalist service.
