Position Summary...The Machine Learning Engineer in the Search Data Science team will play a pivotal role in supporting the architecture and development of AI initiatives within the Sam's Club division of Walmart Inc. This position is key to crafting the ML/AI models that will enhance member experiences across eCommerce, Scan & Go, and in-club shopping.As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will contribute to the end-to-end development of Machine Learning products in the Search domain, working within a scrum team. Central to our mission is a deep commitment to Relevance and Ranking, ensuring every search result not only meets the highest standards of precision but also significantly simplifies and enhances the customer journey.What you'll do:Supporting the backend software development for AI/ML solutions, working closely with a team of Data Scientists and Engineers.Collaborating with Product and Engineering leaders to drive innovations in discovery experiences through insights, frameworks, and machine learning prototypes.Participating in the full life cycle of projects, from planning to deployment, focusing on stakeholder management and cross-functional communication.Contributing to the development of an MLOps framework for continuous testing and personalization of user experiences.What you'll bring:You have experience developing large-scale production systems, especially in Search, information retrieval, and ranking systems.You're skilled in building large-scale ML systems on public clouds like Azure or Google Cloud.With 3+ years in applied machine learning, you are proficient in algorithms like Collaborative Filtering, Deep Neural Networks, and others, and in programming languages such as Python or Java.You're experienced with ML Software (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud environments (Azure, Google Cloud).You have solid MLOps practices, including design documentation, unit testing, and source code control (git), and are familiar with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.Minimum Qualifications...Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position.
