The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation and will be responsible for handling various complex legal matters related to insurance claims and disputes. Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including property, casualty, and liability claims.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.Provide clients with sound legal advice and develop case strategies.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.Attend court hearings, trials, and mediations as required.Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.Stay current with changes in insurance law and relevant legal precedents.Foster and maintain strong client relationships.Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in the state of West Virginia.2-7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.Proven track record of successful case outcomes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency with legal research tools and software.Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
Active membership in good standing with the West Virginia State Bar.Skills
In-depth knowledge of insurance defense law and litigation procedures.Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Proficient in legal research and writing.Effective time management and multitasking abilities.Ability to handle high-stress situations and meet tight deadlines.Familiarity with case management software and legal databases.Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
