Forvis Mazars is seeking a Senior Consultant to assist our State and Local Tax group with our growing property tax compliance and consulting function. The qualified candidate should have experience with multi-jurisdictional property tax compliance for multiple large organizations. The qualified candidate should also have experience with property tax compliance software with a strong preference for OneSource Property Tax. Further, the qualified candidate should also have experience with property tax consulting projects.How you will contribute:Maintaining tax calendarsReconciling fixed assets/inventoryPreparation and filing of personal property renditionsReviewing tax billsProtesting assessmentsManage property tax consulting projects including but not limited to valuation studies, obsolescence studies, and duplicate assessmentsCoach and mentor property tax compliance teamBuild relationships with clients and prospectsWe are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:Strong project management and practice development skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAn ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels both verbally and in writingAttention to detail without losing sight of the big pictureMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field3-5 years or more of relevant work experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an advanced understanding of MS ExcelPreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in business, tax, or lawActive CPA license or CMI certificationExperience in sales/use tax and credits and incentivesExperience with CCH Intelliconnect, RIA Checkpoint, and/or BNA Tax research software
