Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Systems Test IPT Director position to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Palmdale, CA.
The Systems Test IPT Director is responsible for all program System Test, including Development, Integration test, lab operations, and supporting testing and integration activities. This position functionally reports to the Aeronautics Sector Test & Evaluation Vice President and receives day-to-day direction from the Strike Program Operating Unit Directors and Program Chief Engineer. This position is responsible for ground and (at times) flight test at multiple locations as well as labs and test articles primarily located in California.
Primary duties include:
Leading all aspects of managing a program's System Test organization, personnel, equipment, processes, external range resource coordination, scheduling, and laboratories.
Developing yearly capital asset and indirect expense forecasts.
Managing the maintenance and upgrade of Development Assets, laboratory computer systems, and test equipment.
Maintaining performance metrics and reporting daily status to Program Management.
Assessing Earned Value progress and forecasting EAC.
Managing daily compliance with policies and procedures including security, property management, calibration, training, and configuration control.
Some travel may be required depending on program needs (up to 25% of time). The position is not a candidate for remote or hybrid work.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of related professional/military engineering experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military engineering experience.
Must have 6 years of leadership/management experience.
Must have experience in Aircraft Operations/Maintenance/Testing & Flight or Ground Test Experience as an Individual Contributor or Manager/Director.
Must have prior leadership skills and the ability to work effectively across organizational layers.
Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (or higher) granted or reissued in the last 6 years.
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Access (PAR) within a reasonable period.
Preferred Qualifications:
Special Program Access (SAP).
Master’s Degree in Technical Field (STEM) or Business Administration.
Proven record of developing & implementing action plans to improve strategic growth.
Military or Civil Test Pilot School Graduate.
Flight Line Maintenance/Operations Experience and/or Laboratory Test Experience.
Salary Range:
$209,600 - $314,400
