These positions would be physically located in the United States or Canada, hybrid or remote options may be available depending on individual circumstances. The acoustical managing consultant will work in a challenging and variable environment that will include project management, client interaction, direction/mentoring of junior staff, and detail-oriented independent work.Your new roleAs our new Managing Consultant, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing innovative and sustainable site solutions to an international client base. Your key tasks and responsibilities will potentially include:Managing acoustical consulting projects and client relationshipsDeveloping and implementing project execution approachesLeading teams to develop and deliver innovative acoustical design solutions that address complex environmental noise challengesManaging technical analyses related to environmental noise surveys, sound level analyses, computer modeling (CadnaA, SoundPlan, or similar), and mitigation design/specificationPreparing reports and communicating results to clients as well as preparing proposals and fee estimatesMentoring team members and influencing the development of individual technical and professional skillsCritically reviewing and interpreting local, state, provincial, and federal environmental regulationsAbout youFor this role, we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success:B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering, Science, or Mathematics related major10 or more years of experience in acoustical consulting, specifically environmental noise assessmentSolid spreadsheet, noise modeling, and software tool skillsDemonstrated capabilities in understanding and applying environmental regulations to real-world situationsProven success in project team leadership in acoustical consultingExperience delivering acoustical consultation and design across industry sectors such as manufacturing, technology, energy, water, and transportationWorking familiarity applying acoustical-related industry standards such as ISO and ANSIDemonstrated experience implementing environmental noise assessments in compliance with NEPA or comparable state or international requirements.Work at the heart of sustainable changeRamboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company.
