Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry (Child and Adolescent)Hiring Department : UICOMP-PsychiatryLocation : Peoria, IL USARequisition ID : 1023381Posting Close Date : 10/20/2024The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks a child and adolescent psychiatrist with strong interest in graduate medical education to develop and lead a new child and adolescent psychiatry (CAP) fellowship. The CAP Fellowship Program Director is a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.Our department has worked closely with community partners to prepare for the development of a new CAP training program. The broad array of resources, exceptional facilities, and collaborative commitment from the community provide an ideal opportunity for a motivated psychiatrist to lead and grow the program. The success of our other educational programs and the experience of the current faculty offer ample support to the incoming CAP Fellowship Program Director. Candidates should share our values for high-quality patient care, the education of fellows, residents, and medical students, and the promotion of scholarly activity. The ideal candidate will have meaningful administrative experience, excellent teaching and communication skills, and be eager to lead.
