The CTC Engineering Division specializes in transforming cutting-edge technologies into real-world solutions. We harness the power of 3D printing, advanced joining techniques like friction stir welding, and cutting-edge design tools to tackle complex challenges for a diverse set of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Design mechanical systems for a broad base of applications.

Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.

Develop design concepts, calculations, material selection, and other pertinent information required to complete assigned design activity.

Produce solid models and documentation of designs and see them through to prototype manufacturing.

Work closely with project teams consisting of CAD and Shop technicians and lead teams of other mechanical, electrical, and materials engineers.

Interact with vendors supplying fabrication services and define fabrication processes of designs.

Lead in scheduling tasks and estimate labor hours and materials costs for design development and prototyping.

Create detailed manufacturing drawings for components and assemblies utilizing an understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.

Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent, with 8+ years of experience OR a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent, with 6+ years of experience.

Strong proficiency with ASME drafting standards and GD&T.

Proficient in designing and creating complex parametric 3-D models and assemblies utilizing Pro/Engineer, Solid Edge, Solid Works, and/or AutoCAD.

Preferred Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of standard fabrication processes including machining, welding, and assembly.

Works well in a team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills.
