Facilities Engineer

is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by using troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques with the overall objective of improving plant efficiencies.Position SummaryEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesStrong interpersonal skills, One Team mentality.Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.Strong electrical experience with troubleshooting and repair.Ability to read, interpret engineering drawings, computer-aided design (CAD) files, technical documents, and manuals.Assist on various projects related to continuous improvement of equipment and processes within the Facilities.Assist on root cause investigation of nonconformance, write and review SOP, WI, Change request, qualification, and Validations.Maintain an accurate inventory of all asset’s spare parts.Assist in design and development for new production processes, calibration, and preventive maintenance.Assists troubleshoot issues on the production equipment, identifies areas for improvement, and implements solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs.Assist with and where required to lead new project development activity.Assist in the set-up of new equipment and processes.Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and research and development, supply chain and technical operation, to implement new processes or improve existing processes.Work with CMMS system Maintains responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.Performs other functions as needed for business continuity.Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of manufacturing techniques such as manufacturing and packaging of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, solid dose, liquid, and powder presentations are required for this role.Experience in cGMP.Strong analytical and technical skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook).Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities at the same time.Strong interpersonal skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Position Expertise/Qualifications2-5 years’ experience preferably in Pharmaceutical, Nutritional or food plant production/packaging.BA Engineer or equivalent experience.About BioTissue & our CultureAt BioTissue, we transform the gift of life by sharing miracles.
