You’ll also collaborate with our centers in Silicon Valley and around the world.Description of role:This position is responsible for taking over an extensive simulation platform that simulates the behavior of a display over its lifetime. The model is developed in C/C++ and MATLAB and is used to evaluate the performance of various image enhancement and compression algorithms.Location:

Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose HQ 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.Responsibilities:Understand the algorithms used in a display to compensate for different impairments and enhance the image quality.Understand different compression algorithms that are used in the display industry.Maintain the simulation platform and develop new features as required. Perform simulations and optimize the code to minimize the execution time.Collaborate with the compression and RTL teams to improve the quality of the algorithms and verify through simulation.Ability to analyze, and interpret the simulation results and report to the team.Requirements:10 years of hands-on experience in image processing algorithm development.10 years of hands-on experience using C++ and MATLAB.Experience with the compression algorithms is highly desirable.BS in EE or related fields (MS is preferred).You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.An avid learner, you approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding.You’re collaborative, building relationships, humbly offering support and openly welcoming approaches.Innovative and creative, you proactively explore new ideas and adapt quickly to change.We encourage Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans and Disabled individuals to apply for all positions that they may be qualified for.
