SummaryWorks under the supervision of the Project Manager and/or Supervisor. Maintains 95% standards of cleanliness within assigned tasks, which includes: hard floors, carpeted floors, removal of trash, complete low and high dusting programs. Must be able to utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSweep/dust mop uncarpeted floorsVacuum carpets and rugsClean matsSpray clean and buff floorsWet mopStrip coat, buffDeep clean carpets and rugsClean under raised floorsHose down, scrub, squeegee/mopResponsible for trash removal and cleaning of containers.Assures that all areas are cleaned as per daily schedule.Must respond to overhead paging system, and radio.Complete floor care as scheduled.Must perform low and high dusting of assigned areas, which includes but not limited to: vents, lights, telephones, desks, ledges, windows and furniture.Sweep exterior entry ways and walkways, clean exterior signs and plaques.Complete weekly checklist and submit to supervisor.Report broken items or equipment for repairs.Must use discretion when handling confidential materials.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Comply with work schedules and company policies and procedures.Adheres to established "Universal Precautions/Blood borne Pathogen" standards.Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals.Completes other duties as assigned.SupervisionNoneMinimum Qualifications:A high school diploma or GED required.U.S. citizenship may be required.Must possess skills to read, write and comprehend English.Valid Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance and the ability to travel to local facilities.Ability to pass a background check and or Govt. security clearance.Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background screen, and drug test.Ability to follow written and oral instructions.Ability to demonstrate good customer relations skills.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards and safety precautions of the janitorial work.Shareholder PreferencePursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, preference will be given to qualified Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, Descendants, and Spouses in all phases of employment.Core CompetenciesCommunication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely according to strict deadlines.Self-Motivated - Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one's ability using his or her own drive or initiative.Team Builder/Worker - Ability to inspire and work within a group of people to work toward a goal.Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.Physical DemandsWork involves moderate to heavy work in all types of conditions.
