Senior Electrical Engineer for Design Readiness

to work

with our client in

Newton, MA.Here's what you'd do:The Senior EE Design Readiness Engineer will be part of the R&D organization and an important contributor to the realization of the next-generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare.You will be a technical resource working on the transition of electrical assemblies and components from prototype to verification & clinical builds and testing in close collaboration with manufacturing engineering.Be a key team member working on design readiness of the electrical aspects of a robotic system.Support the development of assembly and test/screening processes for electrical assemblies and components.Support identification of, specification creation for, development, and characterization of in-line test and build fixtures for electrical assemblies and components.Support development and maintenance of the BOM and DMR.Support troubleshooting and root cause investigations of electromechanical subsystems using excellent methodologies and thoroughly documenting the analyses.Specify electrical, firmware, and software development requirements for testing and building fixtures.Author relevant documents such as build process, assembly instructions, inspection procedures, test protocols, test reports, analyses, and system documentation.Support a variety of multi-disciplinary technical and process improvement projects of different sizes and scopes.Analyze, test, and recommend refinements for DFx, such as reliability, testability, and manufacturability.Support the creation of DHF and release of documentation to the quality system.Manage and communicate assigned projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Here's what you'll get:Pay:

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Robotics or Mechatronics or Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.Minimum of 5 years experience in medical device.Minimum of 5 years experience in developing, building, and testing complex electro-mechanical medical devices, design transfer, and process validation with broad knowledge of electrical, mechatronics, firmware, software, and systems engineering, including design verification testing, and transfer to manufacturing within a regulated medical device development environment.Minimum of 5 years experience in analog and digital circuit design.Minimum of 5 years experience in circuit analysis and troubleshooting electronics.Minimum of 5 years experience in design for testing and design for manufacturability.Minimum of 5 years experience in systems engineering approaches and design control for medical devices.Minimum of 5 years experience in bench testing with standard electrical test equipment.Minimum of 5 years experience in hands-on rework of PCBAs.Minimum of 5 years experience in designing and developing PCBA test fixtures and the related testing processes (requirements development, tester development, test protocol development, test execution, test report), ECO documentation for test fixtures.Minimum 10 years of electromechanical R&D engineering experience.Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Experience with developing test applications or firmware with MATLAB Simulink.Additional Information:
