Regional Vice President, Architectural InteriorsPosition Summary:The role should be defined as the product expert in Teknion's Architectural Interior portfolio and to convey the technical abilities of our systems, from the most laymen terms to the most in-depth explanation, depending on the knowledge level of the recipient. That could mean an end user, our distribution partners, and even Teknion employees.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Establishing and/or maintaining business partnerships.Making distribution partner, end user, A&D, and GC sales calls and presentations.Maintaining accurate and up to date forecasts.Increasing Teknion's Architectural Interior volume and market share within the given territory.Bid direction and response, and providing technical expertise to the territory.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Meet or exceed mutually agreed upon territorial revenue goals.Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of all Teknion Architectural products and competitive offerings as well as a working knowledge of all Teknion products.Serve as Architectural Interiors experts with knowledge and capability to guide the sales process and develop application specific solutions.Support distribution partners within territory with respect to sales efforts, product training, marketing materials, product positioning, etc.Develop and execute a territorial business plan incorporating annual goals and objectives.Work in a manner that is consistent with the overall goals and direction of the corporation.Maintain current and accurate project forecasts through Salesforce.Prompt, reliable and regular attendance.Sales and Profitability:In conjunction with the RVP's from assigned territories and the RVP of Architectural Interiors, develop and implement targeted account plans and programs for major clients/prospects across all channels and market segments.Work closely with the sales team (RVP, BDM, DBM, and A&D) as well as the Teknion Distribution partner network to identify, develop and close major opportunities in targeted areas to achieve plan.When applicable, work in conjunction with other members of the Teknion sales organization, such as Product Specialists, A&D Market Managers, and Global Accounts Managers.Make sales calls and presentations alone or in conjunction with local market staff (Teknion and Distribution partner).Assist distribution partners in bid review and development of bid response as it relates to architectural products, including spec analysis, product selection, specials creation, and pricing.Technical Support:Serve as the Architectural Interiors expert within their region. Responsible for staying current on products, trends, changes as it relates to AI.Provide technical expertise to sales end-users, distribution partners, architect/design firms, general contractors, installation companies, and other Teknion employees throughout the entire sales process - from crucial concept development to project planning through final punch list. This includes, but is not limited to:Define client needs.Develop concept and apply standard product solutions where possible.Work with the specials group to create solutions for project specific requirements that do not exist in standard offering.Help determine product requirements through entire sales & installation process uncovering potential new trends for product enhancements.Review plans and elevations prior to client submission in order to ensure best product solutions are being presented.Mock Up review.Dealer showroom improvements.Organization Development and Training:Support sales effort with programs, training, and educational materials to achieve sales and profit targets.Train distribution partner sales staff and Teknion sales on Architectural Interior portfolio specific to product capabilities and position.Work with Teknion Architectural Interior operations group in training distribution partners on their internal Architectural Interior business team.Qualifications and Educational Requirements:Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience), preferably in related field.Minimum 5+ years' experience in at least one of these: Architectural Interiors, Interior Architecture, Design, and/or construction industries with successful sales track record.Project management experience a plus.Requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.Must be a self-starter that works efficiently and independently.Ability to successfully contribute to or manage multi-discipline teams/projects.Relentless drive to fuel product line sales and profitability through innovative programs and exceptional service.Solid decision making and organizational development skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to learn and utilize Teknion systems and other technologies, as required.Frequent travel (80%) and flexibility required.
