A law firm in Birmingham is seeking a Patent Attorney with 3+ years of patent prosecution experience to counsel clients on all aspects of intellectual property, with a focus on patent prosecution. The ideal candidate must be an active member in good standing of the Patent Bar.Duties:Provide legal counsel to clients on intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent prosecution.Draft and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Conduct patentability searches and provide opinions on patent validity and infringement.Advise clients on patent portfolio management and strategy.Assist with intellectual property litigation matters as needed.Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective patent prosecution strategies.Stay updated on changes in patent law and regulations.Requirements:3+ years of patent prosecution experience.An active member in good standing of the Patent Bar.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Patent Bar.Skills:Experience in patent prosecution and intellectual property law.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
