Collaborative partner to the department chairs and provides leadership for initiatives that transcend departments while supporting the entire region. Develops and implements the operational activities of Prisma Health practices by assuring success of these clinical programs under the direction of the CCO and the COO of the region. Ensures integration of physicians across the Prisma Health delivery system including practice sites, hospitals, and other facilities. Develops and leads practice management teams to operationalize population health initiatives and to care for the communities and people we serve. Point person to implement strategic and growth initiatives as developed and led by the CCO and the COO of the region.Essential FunctionsAll team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Be the difference.Develops, implements, and maintains practice management procedures to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance with policies and procedures and the system's Code of Excellence. Leads and administers all practice operations within the region. Responsible for the oversight of practice facilities management and ensuring needs of the physicians and the region relative to business development (including ancillary services), marketing, IS and strategic planning as well as other functions as determined by the regional CCO and COO. Provides input to the regional leadership team for strategy, planning, business development, network development, clinical integration, and population health initiatives.Facility and practice Site Optimization. Proactively serves as the facility planning partner to ensure space allocations are efficient and cost-effective. Optimizes patient flow and staff workflow within and among regional practices, monitors and reports on levels of staff and provider productivity. Responsible for directing and completion of physician practice component of environment of care and other site reviews/audits for respective practice locations. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies.Practice Development and Growth. Facilitates the implementation of region's practice development initiatives. Responsible for working with various entities to facilitate strategic planning, developing business relationships, ensuring process enhancement, while promoting effective negotiations and ensuring successful plan completion. Works with a collaborative team to submit new projects, programs, and services to the Project Review Committee and facilitates the progress of those projects once approved.Physician Engagement. In support of the regional CCO and COO, engages physicians in a partnering relationship to translate strategic targets into practice specific business/action plans. Works with regional leadership to facilitate alignment of all physicians and advanced practice providers within and across regions. Monitors, evaluates, and works with physician leaders to develop action plans around provider productivity to ensure efficient and productive use of physician and staff resources within the region.Staff/Management Recruitment and Retention. Recruits and selects appropriate staff for departmental practices within the constraints of approved budgets. Trains, evaluates, and monitors work performance of designated staff. Counsels, disciplines, and terminates designated staff as appropriate. Prepares and conducts timely performance appraisals.Financial Performance. Assists the regional administrator with developing, monitoring, and managing the rolling forecast process and performance. Also directs the management of practice sites to key financial performance indicators.Community Engagement. Identifies and engages practices to be actively involved in various Prisma Health community relations initiatives, including physician involvement & exposure; governmental relationships and volunteerism; local business engagement; actively involved in chamber.Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory/Management ResponsibilitiesJob has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire, termination, disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility.
