The Manager/Director of Employee Relations serves as a business partner across all Bozzuto companies. The ideal candidate actively participates in developing, executing, coordinating and/or communicating human resource initiatives in employee relations, investigations, performance management, HR compliance, risk management, leave administration, policy and procedure interpretation and other HR functions as requested.As the Manager/Director of Employee Relations, your primary responsibilities include:Effectively communicate with management to provide direction and guidance on employment issues including disciplinary actions, behavior and conduct issues, terminations, leave administration, workplace conflict and other HR related issues.Provide sound and timely HR strategic counsel in support of The Bozzuto Group’s goal to improve the performance, efficiency, and growth of the organization.Manage internal employment investigations process; work with senior leadership to facilitate investigations and actively participate when necessary.Provide support to the Vice President of Employee Relations, Senior HR leadership, and management staff on employment matters.Assist management in preparing performance management and formal disciplinary actions, ensuring official documentation is properly maintained to support recommended employment actions.Consult with management in developing employee performance improvement plans. Partner with management to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed when preparing notices related to employee counseling and disciplinary action.Regularly review HR performance forms and processes and make recommendations for change.Assist the Vice President of Employee Relations in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures, preparing and maintaining employment handbook updates on policies and procedures.Research employment laws, employee and wage data to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, cultivating a partnering relationship with management throughout Bozzuto.Lend assistance and input with new hire orientation, HR initiatives, and leadership development training.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.What You Bring to Us:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field required.PHR or SPHR preferred.Minimum 5+ years of experience demonstrating a proven track record of managing and resolving complex employee relations matters in a multi-state business environment.Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to employee relations including but not limited to anti-discrimination/harassment, wage and hour, Fair Labor Standards Act, business ethics and other federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Ability to work effectively in a multi-state, fast-paced environment.Ability to make well-reasoned and timely decisions based on careful, objective review and informed analysis of available considerations and factors.Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects, track workplace activities, and meet deadlines.Ability to adapt to a changing and challenging environment.Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate well with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization.Ability to effectively facilitate training or present effectively to groups of employees.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Proficiency using HRIS software to research and analyze employee data.Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule; may occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.Ability to travel from time to time.What We Bring You:
