This position is responsible for advising clients on a variety of international tax consulting and compliance matters. We are committed to practicing work/life balance and offer extremely competitive salary and benefit packages.Job ResponsibilitiesInteract closely with clients to provide innovative business tax planning, consulting and compliance services for multinational companies across multiple industries.Structure transactions to minimize the impact for all US international tax related items, including FSC, FAS109/APB 23, subpart F, VAT/GST, and FTCs.Navigate the PFIC rules & related elections.Identify appropriate jurisdictions/sites for business expansion.Provide Fin 48 support & audit.Implement global transfer pricing strategies.Manage IRS and local country audits & solve withholding tax issues.Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients.Skilled in organizing people, projects, deadlines and work appropriately, taking the time to structure and organize the project for the team including planning and wrap up meetings.Exhibits values, ethics, integrity and trust that are in sync with those of the firm and profession.Participate in corporate structure, divestitures, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, litigation support, earnings and profit analysis, inventory and other tax accounting procedures.Head responsibility for entire business aspects of customer relations inclusive of collecting, billing and maintaining team profitability.SkillsOutstanding leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships.Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.Thorough understanding of complex technical issues.Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.Decisively executes solutions to problems.Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically including the ability to spot potential planning ideas when reviewing a return.Proven record to directly generate and sustain client relationships.QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or a Juris Doctor degree required.Masters in Taxation degree or LLM in Taxation preferred.Licensed CPA in Massachusetts.Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/Tax law knowledge.10+ years prior experience in public accounting and tax.Excellent international tax operations knowledge and familiarity of tax issues for a multinational company operating globally.Strong management, technical and business development skills are necessary.Required to be able to work in the office a minimum of three days per week.
