Mid-level Patent Agent

The law firm is seeking a qualified and experienced Mid-level Patent Agent to join their team in Dallas. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, solid law firm or industry experience, excellent communication skills, and expertise in patent prosecution, specifically in electrical engineering or computer science. The candidate should also have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and be admitted to the USPTO.Duties:Conduct patent searches and analyses for electrical engineering or computer science-related technologies.Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO.Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to gather necessary information for patent preparation.Provide technical expertise and guidance on patent-related matters.Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Requirements:Bachelor or advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science.4+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.Admission to the USPTO.Preferred Experience:Patent prosecution in electrical engineering or software-related technologies.Data science, AI, or networking technologies, with a focus on network security.Machine learning/artificial intelligence, particularly in conjunction with data science.Hardware security.Skills:Strong academic background with a high level of achievement.Excellent writing and communication skills.Proficiency in conducting patent searches and analyses.Expertise in patent preparation and prosecution.Technical proficiency in electrical engineering, computer science, data science, AI, or networking technologies.Ability to collaborate with inventors and attorneys.Analytical skills for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
