Main Objective The position will be located at the Chicago, IL facility and will support the Montebello, CA facility as needed (remotely & in person, availability to travel will be important). The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for all QA matters. Main Activities Spearhead traceability programs to control ingredient and product flow throughout the plant for Food Safety and Identity Preservation programs. Responsible for verifying and analyzing production data, maintain traceability, positive release of preventive controls for human food and evaluate efficiency. Prepare batch reports. Provide support and audit function to the Food Safety and Quality programs to ensure they are in a state of permanent readiness. Evaluate existing methods of recordkeeping and develop methods and procedures for continuous improvement. Eliminate redundancy and align data in SAP and Intelex. Responsible for all Sanitation programs e.g. MSS / Verification and Validation / MSS / etc. are implemented, monitored and trended for continuous improvement. Responsible for the operation of the Analytical Laboratories at both sites ensuring accuracy of data, equipment calibration, training of personnel, continuous improvement initiatives for the lab and process where applicable. Develop and monitor for FSQ program roll-out across both sites according to the respective sites Master Schedules ensuring completion as defined by the Master schedule. Responsible for Customer communication on complaint investigations. Responsible for internal stakeholder communication / escalation on FSQ nonconformance’s. Responsible for CAPA closure and ensuring effectiveness of action taken. Provide support for all customer audits, Identity Preserved audits, FDA inspections / investigations and certification audits ensuring programs are developed to prevent audit findings and ensure compliance to FSMA and customer requirements. Responsible for taking on other duties and stretch assignments across the vinegar network as needed. What will you need to be successful?
Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, biology, chemistry or related. Minimum 3 years experience at a supervisor level in a science manufacturing setting (food industry preferred). Availability to travel up to 50%. Working knowledge of GMP, Microbiology, Hygiene controls, Validations, HACCP and Preventive Controls for FSMA principles. Analytical testing (calibration, managing and maintenance of laboratory equipment). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and using ERP's (SAP is a nice to have). Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $73,758 to $108,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
