Jr. Trader AnalystPBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Jr. Trader Analyst to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.The Jr. Trader/Analyst will prepare reports and analysis for the Specialty Products trading team, assisting in the physical procurement, and selling of LPGs, Biofuels and Petrochemicals. The position is responsible for research, analysis, stress testing trading strategies, and tracking profit and loss estimate surrounding the Specialty Products strategy. The analyst also works with the Risk group to maintain the proper risk profile of each book.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:Communicate with customers and suppliers as directed by LPG, Chemical, and Biofuels tradersMonitor the market in order to keep the traders informed of sudden shiftsAssist in managing trading positions and inventories to minimize risk and maximize profitabilityAdvise traders of changes in the Refineries Operating PlanEnter Trades in the system on behalf of the Trader as instructedParticipate and contribute in strategy team meetingsProvide accurate demand and supply information for planningOther duties as directed by VP Specialty ProductsJOB QUALIFICATIONS:College degree required, preferably in Business or Chemical Engineering1-3 years experience in either sales or logistics in either a commodity and/or specialty chemical environment preferredStrong planning and execution skillsExcellent written, verbal communication and presentation skillsProactive thinking, detail-oriented analytical and creative problem solving skills to support business focused analysisHigh degree of collaborative skillsHigh degree of initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to multi-task, meeting multiple and competing prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
