Most companies call it Employee Relations. At Electronic Arts, we made the deliberate decision to brand our department People Relations. This centralized and remote group of professionals serves as an impartial, internal resource to review and address employee concerns to ensure alignment with EA's policies and commitment to provide an ethical and inclusive work environment. We are looking for a People Relations investigation expert to support our North American region, who excels at navigating complex concerns of retaliation, discrimination, bullying, harassment, and other workplace conflicts. You must have a desire to provide a positive employee experience during investigations and facilitate successful workplace restoration.
This is a 3-6 month assignment.
Responsibilities
Promptly, objectively, and thoroughly investigate and resolve sensitive employee concerns and escalated conflicts.Maintain trust in PR's process by upholding confidentiality, ensuring employees feel heard, providing appropriate follow-up, and setting clear expectations with employees on the scope and purpose of the investigation.Analyze witness accounts and documentary evidence, update team case management system, maintain accurate notes, prepare in-depth case reports, and draft executive summaries.Partner with EA's Legal department and People Experience (HR) throughout the investigative process and share case insights and recommendations for resolution that incorporate local legislation/regulations, company policies, and EA values.Advise People Experience partners on interventions to address workplace concerns, de-escalate conflict, and create customized workplace restoration strategies following an investigation to provide lasting resolution.Identify case trends and work with the People & Policy Excellence team on proactive policy implementation that manages risk and reflects company culture.Prepare and facilitate training and other consultative materials to enhance employee relations skill set among People Experience partners and People Managers.Recommend process enhancements to increase PR efficacy and support the continued creation of best-in-class COE.
Required Qualifications
You have experience conducting investigations related to allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and other policy violations.You have advanced writing and communication skills with experience issue spotting, preparing investigation reports, and providing constructive feedback.You have expertise with difficult conversations, including maintaining composure and demonstrating empathy while achieving productive resolution.You are proficient using data to identify insights that guide action.You are able to navigate ambiguity, implement solutions and maintain effective relationships with multiple stakeholders at all stages of the investigation process.You have enthusiasm and interest in participating in the continued building of newer COE.You have a genuine desire to provide and promote a fair and positive experience and inclusive culture.Experience preparing position statements or other legal documents is beneficial.
Other Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field.5+ years of experience investigating and/or advising on complex employment law-related matters.Experience supporting multiple sites is beneficial.Knowledge and application of relevant HR best practices, employment law standards, and workplace investigative protocols.Occasional travel may be required.

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):$122,400 - $176,300 USD AnnuallyNew York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):$115,700 - $176,300 USD AnnuallyJersey City, NJ:$142,000 - $176,300 USD AnnuallyColorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):$131,000 - $174,800 USD AnnuallyWashington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):$115,700 - $163,100 USD Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.
